The Sunday dress boutique is celebrating its 1 year anniversary. The petite lavender painted shop sits on the sand at Shell Beach, a stone’s throw from Gustavia harbor.

Patricia, boutique owner and entrepreneur, opened 5 shops in St. Tropez and manages the St. Barths boutique from December through April. Rainbow colors have inspired the new dress collection with several style choices in green, blue, yellow and orange.  White also stars prominently in the 2012 collection.

There is a fashion show everyday and the model shows off the accessory collection as well. Each colorful dress is paired with Sunday special boots or sandals and a big roomy beach bag, big enough for a beach towel, lotion, reading material, visors, bottled water and sunglasses! The boutique anchors the treetop restaurant Do Brazil, where Mr. B and I dine frequently.

 

With our gazes fixated on the shelled sandy beach below, sitting on our perch and with the 180 degree blue expanse of sea straight ahead, we sip our rose while the month of Sundays fashion show proceeds. Our server brings vanilla rum punch ” pour deux ” with the check and afterwards I shop for a robin’s egg blue strapless beach dress and a 1 shouldered white eyelet designed dress that is perfect for day and night, especially important since ” la nuit voit le jour a St. Barth ,” the day has seen the night in St. Barths!

 

The Sunday shop lets me be a color chameleon on the island. The dresses are timeless treasures, well worth investing in and with a change of jewelry, the addition of a belt and sparkly sandals, a beach dress becomes an evening chic dress.
